Ebisu [lingerie] (Dorohedoro)
Costume notes:
When I first started reading Dorohedoro, I fell in love with this chaotic feral gremlin child. I, too, was somewhat precocious at that age, and the ridiculous lingerie getup she put together early in the series really struck me for being so absurd as well as something that I would have loved at that age if I were bold enough to not be embarrassed by underwear!
This costume holds my current record for the shortest amount of time in between deciding to cosplay something and the con I wore it at: I decided to wear it the Sunday before the con, and had to order everything before I left on Thursday morning. It's mostly storebought, with a lingerie set that I sewed an extra beige lining into for modestly, oven mitts on a dog leash from the dollar store, knockoff Converse sneakers, Daiso stockings, a thrifted belt with hardware store additions for a garter belt, a scarf from my closet, and a Halloween mask that I added to. I assembled this costume just before the anime was released, so I chose red as my accent color, only to find out later it's colored purple in the anime. Oh well, the mask and exact combination of items is very distinctive as Ebisu.
I should do some sort of ridiculous photoshoot so I have more than just a mirror selfie!
