This is my cosplay that is the most barely a cosplay.
No, really, it's just the hat.
SaGa was having a contest in 2020 connected to their mobile game, and cosplay was eligible. I didn't want to make a full Asellus on that short of a deadline, so I did what I do best: make something absolutely ridiculous and self shoot it. The shoot itself was a bit of a challenge because the lens kept fogging up from bathroom steam, so I would have to take frequent breaks with the door open to let it cool down a bit, and I had to string a fan through the bathroom and keep the window open to dissipate the steam as much as possible.
The hat is made of a beige baseball cap with the bill cut off. I bought a mix of fake roses to glue on it -- some fabric roses, and some foam roses, in varying sizes -- and used fabric and wig wefts from my stash to finish the look. The foam roses were shaded with alcohol markers to create a more interesting and realistic look, and gaps between them were filled in with tiny foam roses. The extras are what is floating in the bath. The ruffle is hand rolled hemmed voile, which was then hot glued on. I had to color the wig wefts with markers as well, but I believe those were leftovers from Lady Blackpearl, so originally Arda Silky in Nutmeg. I bought a bunch of fake rose petals for the bath, but forgot to spray them down with waterproofing before the shoot, so they immediately sank to the bottom. I had to be very careful when draining the tub!
